Database of 233 opioid drugs
This database was created by systematically searching 7 sources, including:
-
WHO’s ATC index,
-
IUPHAR/BPS Guide to Pharmacology,
-
WHO’s MedNet service for International Nonproprietary Names (INNs),
The published literature and Wikipedia were also searched to identify additional opioids. The drug nomenclature and pharmacological properties of each drug were extracted. The methods and study protocol were preregistered on an open repository, the code is openly available on GitHub, and all study materials are available on the Open Science Framework.
The findings are published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.
