The database of 233 opioid drugs

This database was created by systematically searching seven sources, including the WHO’s ATC index, the British National Formulary, the IUPHAR/BPS Guide to Pharmacology, the INCB Index of Names of Narcotic Drugs, the WHO’s MedNet service for International Nonproprietary Names (INNs), Martindale’s Extra Pharmacopoeia, the Merck Index, and the published literature and Wikipedia. Drug nomenclature and pharmacological properties of each drug were extracted.

Details of the methods (preregistered here), are outlined in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology here. Data and code are openly available on our OSF project page and at Github. Last updated: April 2021
